Indoor Air Testing Resources
What type of indoor air are you breathing? Are we breathing mold, allergens or certain chemicals
such as formaldehyde. This is a good question to ask ourselves and others. Each of us face
many types of risks to our health as we go about our day-to-day lives. We can be in in cars, flying in
commercial planes, having fun with our family, and being exposed to many different environmental pollutants that
can cause different degrees of risk. Certain risks are simply unavoidable. The good news is
indoor air pollution is one thing that we can do something about. It is important
to find out what you are breathing and how to improve the indoor air quality (IAQ) around you.
Air Testing Helps Solve Many Problems
Many of us have had the illusion of breathing clean air wherever we are but the illusion is false.
One of the first things I want you to do is go to the A/C Air Handler in your home where you change the filter.
Look at it carefully, do you see dirt, mold or algae on the coil. The coil is the thing behind the air conditioning
filter. It is a bright silver color when it is clean but it is dark when it is dirty with dirt, mold or alges. If
it look dirty, have a licensed A/C Contractor inspect it to see if it needs cleaning. Sometimes, it is important
have air testing done on your home to seed if there are Indoor Air Quality problems.
